EMPOWER is a yearly, global VMware-hosted event that takes place in multiple countries spanning multiple days. The Aquent Studios team was brought in to partner side by side with the Events team in multiple roles to produce a large-scale event. A big portion of the process is completing toolkits, which are distributed to local agencies in other countries for layout and translation. Aquent Studios developed hundreds of assets for the geographical toolkits. Aquent Studios also played a unique role in assisting the VMware Brand team in conducting reviews for their agencies when submissions were sent for review. Upon the turn of events in 2020, EMPOWER became EMPOWER ONLINE and Aquent Studios and VMware had to pivot quickly and create this entire event in an online platform in less than 60 days. This not only required a rebrand of the event and asset development, it also included working with various outside vendors to create assets for the platform for hosting the online event.
